Building a Treasure Map to the Perfect Wish

ORLANDO, Fla. (August 2019): Wesley Wright loves building LEGOs and suffers from a life-threatening condition. He has always wanted to visit the LEGOLAND theme park and hotel. Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses, granted Wesley’s wish and sent his family to Florida for a colorful brick-filled wish.

Wesley and his family were flown to Orlando, where they stayed at the LEGOLAND Hotel. They had an amazing adventure themed hotel room complete with bunk beds, treasure maps, and LEGO bricks for them to build their own unique creations. Wesley also had an amazing time at LEGOLAND Florida Resort’s theme park and loved going on all the rides. He even received a Hero Pass so he wouldn’t have to wait in line. SYTYCD Wish Takes the Crown for Pennsylvania Girl

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (August 2019): Selena Nova has been dancing since she was 5, so we know she can dance. While she continues honing her skills and competing in competitions, she struggles with epilepsy, a neurological disorder characterized by recurrent seizures. Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses, made her dream come true, sending her to a taping of the hit dance competition series So You Think You Can Dance.

In addition to her admiration for dance, Selena also collects snow globes and loves Disney… she was in for a big surprise! Wish is a ‘Thriller’ for California Girl

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (August 2019): Veronica Bognar loves the song “Thriller” by Michael Jackson, and was surprised to see her favorite singer’s striking resemblance knocking on her door… It was actually Michael Jackson impersonator and tribute artist Michael Spirit. He delivered a dazzling performance of the legendary King of Pop’s signature dance moves, and a special message that Veronica’s wish was coming true with Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses. She would soon be venturing to Las Vegas for an electrifying musical adventure.

Kids Wish Network flew Veronica and her parents to Vegas to see Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil. “She had a great time, it was an amazing show,” said her mom Stefanie. “They even had a hologram of Michael singing.”

Atlanta Falcons Fly High with Alabama Wish Kid

ATLANTA, Ga. (August 2019): Kristopher Lewis loves football. His favorite team is the Atlanta Falcons, and he wished to see them play live. Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses, made his dream come true, sending him to a preseason Falcons game against the New York Jets where he would be honorary captain. Kristopher suffers from hemophilia A, a genetic bleeding disorder in which the blood does not clot properly.

When Kristopher and his family arrived at the Mercedes Benz-Stadium, they were greeted by the Atlanta Falcons Community Relations Manager. He received his very own Honorary Captain Falcons Jersey, and went on an exclusive private tour of the stadium.

A Minnie Wish for a Disney Princess

ANAHEIM, Calif. (August 2019): Maleia Franklin is a little princess that loves Disney, and more than anything wanted to meet Minnie Mouse. Maleia suffers from biliary atresia, a rare disease of the liver that occurs in infants and can lead to liver failure if not treated properly. Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses, made Maleia’s dream come true, flying her family to Disneyland for a Disney adventure.

Maleia’s family checked into the Anaheim Portofino Inn and Suites hotel, enjoying spacious accommodations in a family friendly suite with bunk beds that Maleia and her siblings loved. During her magical moments in the parks, she had an exclusive one-on-one fantastical tea party with Minnie Mouse, spending lots of time together. “Minnie really took her time with Maleia, just playing and interacting. A Sensory Wish Sensation

GIDDINGS, Texas. (August 2019): Kailee Morrison suffers from convulsive epilepsy and must take medication in order to prevent her from convulsing. She sees a speech therapist regularly at school as her condition has negatively impacted her brain’s ability to process information. One of Kailee’s favorite activities is playing in the sensory room at her school, and she wished to have special toys of her own at home. Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses, purchased a gift card for Kailee to an online store that sells educational sensory equipment and toys for children. Kailee will have so much fun when all of her new toys arrive.

“We’re so glad we were able to provide Kailee with safe and stimulating toys that spark her imagination,” said Kids Wish Network Executive Director Tam Lai.
